wet

I just did it. I jumped!!  After weeks of research (resulting in a spreadsheet that has impressed several mechanics) I analyzed my driving habits, location, possible future locations, and concerns re: impacts on the diesel engine from running it on WVO and went with a single-tank conversion kit by Plant Drive.  I’m so excited, I’m writing emails to everyone I know so they can be happy for me too! Next Thursday is the big day – and I can’t wait!!!

boredom

Is a weird thing.  Sometimes when you are bored you do things you never would do if you weren’t looking for ways to entertain yourself.  You can get yourself into trouble when you are bored.  Especially with other people.  Better not to play.

gritty

Which I love.  But others are mixed.  And it was time to try.  Something new.  A new creation.  To make a creamier chocolate.  With a slightly different flavor.  And some with filling … Back in the lab.  Creating.  Tasting.  Loving.  Self.  Creation.  Chocolate.  Lab.

Sometimes your heart breaks for someone you love.  Something they are going through in their life.  Something you know is breaking their heart.  You want to hold them, let them cry on your shoulder.  Be there for them.  But then you see your own pain.  Your desire to be holding.  That your pain for their pain leaves you wanting to be enveloped in their arms.  Sharing, alleviating, acknowledging.  Love.  Pain.  Life.  Friendship.  Eternity.

change

Some changes, although they seem mundane, are scary.  We can say we embrace change – but our bodies, our health, our minds can tap us on the shoulder to remind us that we are resisting.  Even when we think we’ve dove in.  If we are lucky, there is still some time to adjust, check in, see where the resistance is, and – hopefully – make the adjustments so that we can embrace new opportunities and adventures as we encounter them.

(gas)

The adventure continues – 1 tank or 2?  Sources for Waste Vegetable Oil … I am not sure which decision is bigger.  I think 1 or 2 tank is a big deal – or not.  The thing that has been scaring me the most, well there are 2 things.  1) Single-tanks:  the vegetable oil (SVO or WVO) congeals at higher temperatures than petroleum, so if your veggie-car is your only car and you go to the desert, the mountains or (heaven-forbid) leave southern California where the temperature goes below 40-degrees Fahrenheit (4.5 Celsius) – you can have trouble starting your car.  And I have concerns re: being stranded unable to get my car to start.  2) Dual-tanks:  there are 2 tanks.  Enough said.  Or not – if you use the veggie-oil tank more, then it should be the larger (right?) – so either you lose a big chunk of your trunk for the tank or you put the veggie oil in the original tank.  If you are just tickled pink by the size of your new trunk (the 300CD trunk is a gazillion times bigger than the trunk on my VW) and don’t want to give up that much space, you can put a smaller diesel tank in your trunk.  But then you have highly flammable petrol in your trunk and you could easily be hit from behind.  Dangerous.  Decisions.
